New Ford Hybrid F-650

New Ford Hybrid F-650

That’s right folks, a Ford SUV hybrid…hybrid of an SUV and a TANK that is! Alton Truck Company of Pigeon, Michigan, builds custom trucks and extensions, and has taken the F-650 to “XUV” status. This monster features a Caterpillar 7.2L C7 ACERT engine, putting out 660 lb.-ft. of torque and 230 horses. At 26,000 pounds, you’ll be checking the GVWR of any small bridge you might want to cross! While you’re finding another route with a bigger bridge, you’ll enjoy a 42″ plasma TV, custom captain’s chairs, hardwood floors, four wireless computer stations, and a rear view camera to enhance your enjoyment when backing over Volkswagen Beetles and Cooper Minis. At only $200,000 why not get two – one to leave in the driveway when you’re gone, so everyone knows you have one! So fire up the Mobil credit card, get yourself a few more kids, dogs and coolers; then get out on the highway and run down some medium size game – and don’t forget to bring the full-size gas grill!

  1. But……DOES IT BLEND?

  2. “woof woof woof!” that’s a whole lotta truck.

  3. What is the MPG of the hybrid vs. the normal one???

  4. that is HUGE

  5. 26,000lbs?? now thats just fucking retarded..

  6. That’s 26,000 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, dude. That means the most cargo this vehicle can carry and pull behind it can’t exceed 26,000 lbs. At this GVWR it’s called a “class 6″ vehicle. Any more than this and you’d need a commercial driver’s lecense. By the way, most class 6 commercial vehicles have less power: Between 190 – 215 hp. These include large van bodies that typically deliver the furniture to your door.

So, just as an example becasue I don’t know how heavy this is, let’s say this behemoth weighs 15,000 lbs. empty (which is fucking retarded, in my mind, but the idiocy and overconsumption of Americans isn’t the point here), then you can handle another 11,000 lbs. of cargo and trailer.

This vehicle borders on pornographic in it’s consumption to build and operate. There is absolutely no reason it should’ve been designed and offered other than corporate greed. Ford (I love Ford trucks) and anyone contemplating buying one ought to be ashamed.
