Ford SYNC – Talking to Your Car No Longer Makes You Crazy
Most drivers are guilty of talking while alone in their car – many times to the car itself. No longer will you have to look like a mad person thanks to Ford’s SYNC system. And Michael Knight won’t be the only guy talking to a Ford from now on. The SYNC is a voice operated communication and entertainment center, which will soon become one of Ford’s crowning achievements in automotive technology.

SYNC is now an option (if you have $395 to spare) on all 2009 Ford/Lincoln/Mercury models. Ford SYNC allows drivers to bring nearly any mobile phone or digital media player into their vehicle and operate them using voice commands, through the radio or steering wheel. Some of those features include 9-1-1 Assist, Vehicle Reports, hands-free calling, audible text messages, voice-activated music, automatic phone book transfer and Multilingual intelligence in English, Spanish and French. Popular Science even awarded SYNC with a “Best of What’s New Award” for 2008. Check out Ford’s nifty PR video oh the Lincoln Sync concept system below.
