Stolen Fiesta Was Actually Towed, in NYC

If you’re going to have your car towed in any city, New York is not the one you want it happening in. Impound costs alone figure somewhere around $400 plus $200-$300 a day storage. And that doesn’t even count your fine. But as we recently told you about one of the Ford Fiesta Movement vehicles being stolen, it was discovered the carĀ  is currently sitting in a NYC Impound.

To be honest, being impounded by the city, county or state of NY may be a worse fate than theft. You see, the fine parking officials at police impound yards tend to make mistakes now and again – like improperly documenting seized autos or incorrectly copying licensee plates. Such is the case with our little Fiesta – the car is visible from outside this particular lock up – but as driver Jake Bronstein can’t match his car ID numbers with whatever the authorities have on file, they refuse to claim possession of said vehicle. Looks like it’s time to call in our lawyers! We’ll come pick you up one of the other Fiesta’s.
