Is That a Hot Wheels F-150 at SEMA?!
Not since our childhood dreams of driving Big Foot in a monster truck rally has the sight of a life-sized Hot Wheels made us smile! Well, you’re not dreaming kids – Superlift Suspension Systems is planning to introduce a special edition Hot Wheels 2009 Ford F-150 at SEMA ’09. Take THAT Matchbox!
According to Car and Driver’s blog: “Superlift Suspension Systems actually sells suspension lift kits and other modifications to beef up stock trucks’ off-roading ability. We assumed that meant a more down-to-earth SEMA concept—perhaps an F-150 tailored for mudding. We were only partly right. The Superlift F-150 is a burly off-roader with a lifted suspension and knobby off-road tires. Yet the visual modifications were inspired by the Hot Wheels Ford F-150. Superlift’s effort is made to resemble an upscaled, real-life version of the toy and is replete with Hot Wheels graphics.”
