Holy Wow! It’s the 2011 Ford Mustang GT at NAIAS!

Mustang fans have waited patiently, revving their engines in chat rooms and discussion boards. Now, their faith has been rewarded with a 2010 NAIAS unveiling of the 2011 Ford Mustang.

Ford upgraded the engine in 2011’s Mustang from a 4.6-liter V8 & to 5.0-liter V8-powered GT, which produces 412-horsepower and up to 390 ft-lb of torque – pushing the racer to 60 mph in under 4.7 seconds. Using the six-speed automatic the car generates a 17/25mpg rating.

Also on display was the Special Edition BOSS ’stang, with addition paint and trim options. No word on the enhancement of horse power on this particular model – but just wait until Shelby gets their over-charging mittens on 2011’s model. Enjoy these sexy photos of Ford’s new Mustang below:
